Gobble, gobble, gobble! It's the time of year to give thanks and I want to thank each of you for your continued loyalty to Pfefferle Tire & Auto.
I was initiated as the newest member of the Fairfield Kiwanis as of October 23rd. Kiwanis is an organization I'm proud to be a part of. I recently spoke to the group about my experiences and our business. I recently volunteered at one of their very large events, The Pancake Breakfast, which is held at the Fairfield Middle School. I am looking forward donating my time to the kids in the community.
Last month’s special was a coolant flush for $59.99, which was $20 off. This month, I want to run a Transmission Flush special for $79.99 for regular fluid, and $99.99 for Maxlife fluid. The type of fluid depends on what kind of car you have, call or e-mail me for an exact estimate. That is a $20 savings once again!
Winter is becoming more of a reality with each passing day. Has your car battery been checked lately? Ask for a free battery inspection in our quick lube during your next visit. We have had 10 cars towed in the last week as a result of dead or weak batteries. Don’t let it happen to you. If your car is 5 years old and still has its original battery, it is probably time for a new one. Mention this e-mail and receive $5 off any battery installation!
You guessed it...I cannot harp enough about your tires. Make sure you are checking the pressure at least once a month. This will also save you on gas mileage. Additionally, it may look as though your tires have tread, but do they have the proper amount of traction? Stop in for a courtesy check.
I know many of you really enjoy Valvoline’s mail-in rebates. We have two new rebates for you to take advantage of. These rebates both involve bundled services and are good through January 15, 2008. With the purchase of one flush service, you receive a $10 come back check. With the purchase of two flush services at the same time, you receive a $15 come back check. The other offer is a little more complicated; if you get a conventional oil change plus one flush service, you receive a $5 come back check, a Durablend or Maxlife oil change plus a flush service gets you a $7 come back check, and a synthetic oil change plus a flush service gets you a $10 come back check. Both services have to be done at the same time in order to qualify for the rebate. You also get your choice of Woman’s Day magazine or a Valvoline retro t-shirt for just $1.99 shipping. I hope these deals sound good to you. Valvoline came up with it this way because they have noticed a trend of people getting more than one service done at once. They hope to pass the savings on to you...and we like that as much as you do!
Have a great November and a great Holiday with family and friends. I hope we see you soon, by your own will, and not on a tow truck!!
Sincerely,
Chris Pfefferle Manager chris@pfefferletire.com -------------------------------------------- Save Money at the Pump Source: AutoVantage
Despite historic high gas prices, Americans continue to travel the roads in record numbers. Follow these guidelines to have a little extra money in your pocket when you hit the road.
Tires tie in to gas savings: You can save money at the pump simply by checking the air pressure in your tires regularly. The U.S. Department of Energy reports one pound of underinflation costs consumers two to three miles of gas per gallon. That wastes four million gallons of gas per day nationwide. Take time out of your busy schedule at least once a month to make sure your tire pressure matches the manufacturer's recommended amount found in your owner's manual.
Tune in to tune ups: Keeping your engine properly tuned can save you big bucks. The U.S. Department of Energy says fixing a car that's noticeably out of tune can improve gas mileage by 4 percent.
Healthy air filters: You should check and replace air filters regularly. Replacing a clogged air filter can improve your car's gas mileage by as much as 10 percent.
Get the pedal off the metal: Fifty-five not only saves lives, it saves gas. Government figures show gas mileage decreases rapidly at speeds above 60 mph. Each 5 mph you drive over 60 mph is like paying an additional $0.15 per gallon for gas.
Beat the heat: Buy gasoline when it's cooler outside, like early morning or later at night. That's because gas is denser in cool temperatures, and gas pumps measure by volume. You'll get more bang for your buck.
Plan ahead: Cars hate gridlock as much as we do. Avoid congested areas in order to keep your car from idling. Drive sensibly: If you drive aggressively, by accelerating and braking abruptly, you're wasting fuel. By driving a little more sensibly, avoiding jackrabbit starts and stops, you can save yourself money by increasing gas mileage by up to 33 percent at highway speeds amd by 5 percent around town.
Always consult the vehicle owner's manual for individual service schedules as manufacturer maintenance requirements vary greatly. | Pfefferle Tire & Auto is a proud member of the Automotive Service Association |
